Double Double

Justin Blanton mused that there were 45 Starbucks locations within five files of his house.

I’m not sure where the nearest Starbucks is, but being a good Canadian boy I could probably rhyme off about a dozen Tim Horton’s locations without exerting too much effort.

Inspired by Justin, I decided to find out for sure with the Tim Horton’s Store Locator. No word on the actual search radius, but I suspect it’s fairly small. I’ve got 18 stores in my vicinity. You?

Come to think of it, what about Canadian Tire’s Store Locator? I’ve only got a measly five in my postal code. What if I need to buy teflon-coated windshield wipers on my way back from grabbing a coffee?

I’ve got a whopping 16 within the vicinity of work but nary a one where I live. One of a very few Timmy deadzones in Southern Ontario. *sigh

I live just off campus at University of Western Ontario, and we have 16+ Timmies on campus (which is more than some towns have) and the locator says there are 65 near me. 65!!!

I am so over-saturated with Tim Hortons that I no longer can drink his coffee. So I go to Starbucks, despite feeling like a bad Canadian (where oh where are the Second Cups!)

And I love your blog- the Canadian patriotism is verrry attractive. :)

Thanks for the locator. I’m still fuming over having to drive 350 miles to reach a Tim Horton’s, yet I have eleven (11) Starbuck’s within a three-mile radius of my house. In the name of Tim’s, I revolt!
