…Took a trip to Smiths Falls last Sunday, which is about 40 minutes outside of Ottawa. Smiths Falls is a pretty typical small Ontario town that’s probably best known for its Hershey’s factory. I’ve heard tell of the delights within and willpower-busting prices to go with them. We literally drove up to the front door and then turned around, knowing full well that we wouldn’t be able to limit ourselves to a reasonable tonnage of booty.

After the Hershey’s letdown I wasn’t particularly motivated to wander around with my camera. All of the shots taken were in or around Confederation Park at the Rideau locks. Next time I’ll have to stop at the Eastern Ontario Railway Museum, which appears to be worth some exploration.
