Carleton Biology 2004 Live Butterfly Show
These are a few left-over shots from a trip to the Carleton University Biology Lab’s 2004 Live Butterfly Show.
It was a pretty frustrating experience mostly due to the volume of people jammed into two small greenhouses. Between bumping and jostling for position, trying to catch butterflies sitting still, and playing with camera settings, I’m surprised I got any usable shots at all.
As a side note, the addition of these pictures bring the total to 1000 combined photographs across 56 albums in my gallery.

I have enjoyed the Butterfly display for several years now. However, I would like to make a few suggestions.
1. Please put an “in” and “out ” sign on the doors to the area.
2. Put arrows on the walkways inside the “compound” showing where to walk and which way.
3. Have a volunteer to direct people and move them along. Surely someone would be willing to be there for the open hours.
Traffic, children, and adults would benefit by these changes.
Sincerely,
Rae Pedersen
