Pain (Or, “How I Lived My Life Without MT-Blacklist”)
The lack of entries over the last few days is primarily due to my excessive sulking. Not having Jay Allen’s MT-Blacklist at my disposal has opened this site up to a world of hurt. Yesterday alone I received ~400 comment spam messages — and that low number was due to my ‘quick’ response in shutting down the web server.
In hastily-thinking-about-dropping-Moveable Type-news, Mac graciously allowed me to check out her installation of ExpressionEngine, and I must admit that it’s quite slick. I’m not 100% sold on the comment spam solution they’ve implemented, but everything else looks quite nice.
Anyhow, I’m testing something new to deal with the spam — so we’ll see how things play out for the next few days. If you’ve got nothing but free time on yours hands, drop a comment on this entry so I can see how the new software responds. Many thanks.

Here’s the first test…
I’ve got nothing but free time on my hands. Well, free time, and a little bit of cream cheese.
