Good News and Bad News More Good News
In “things I’m glad I did while drunk” news, I’m going to see David Bowie tonight. I only vaguely remember agreeing to buy the tickets, but apparently I had the presence of mind to buy at the 100-level.
In “what the hell?” news, there’s a Canada goose stranded outside of my office building. It’s clearly injured, but won’t accept food unless lobbed directly in front of it. The local bird sanctuary won’t attend to it due to “budget cutbacks”.
[News Flash!] At 3:30pm a professional goose-wrangling team was assembled, led by our kind (but loony) IT person who braved the frigid water. The animal was cornered, placed into a gigantic box, and is now on the way to the bird sanctuary.
More humourous than the capture itself was the view in the other direction. Turning back to the building, windows on every floor were full with contingents of mesmerized on-lookers. I wish I had a camera with me today.

Mine are usually more like “things I’m glad I didn’t do while drunk.” The last one was new years eve when I tried very hard to put my credit card information into a Time-Life web site to buy the full set of “Singer-Songwriters of the 70’s” cds.
Have fun at Bowie!
Time-Life bad! Bowie good! More tomorrow…
Does anyone have any idea why the hell this is a protected spiecies? A lot of people consider them pests, and they probably taste better than any other animal that ever existed, so controling them should be no problem. They gassed a bunch of them where I live, WTF!?!
