Lessig Offers ‘Free Culture’ Online — For Free
It seems quite fitting that Stanford law professor and author Lawrence Lessig is offering up his latest book ‘Free Culture’ online for free under an Attribution/Noncommercial Creative Commons license.
I must admit, I’m not intimately familiar with Lessig on the whole. Isn’t it interesting, though, that his audience has suddenly increased by at least by one person (and probably will continue to do so exponentially)?
…And isn’t that exactly the point?
“[In Free Culture, Lessig] widens his focus to consider the diminishment of the larger public domain of ideas. In this powerful wake-up call he shows how short-sighted interests blind to the long-term damage theyre inflicting are poisoning the ecosystem that fosters innovation.”
