I bought a gift online this year, which is quite a leap for my paranoid self. The vendor site is one that most likely gathers business from word-of-mouth. I’ll admit that I first discovered it on another weblog. Given that, you’d think they wouldn’t want to screw around with their newly established reputation.

My order was guaranteed to arrive by December 19th (ordered on the 11th), and here we are on December 24th with no delivery. It’s being shipped from Toronto to Ottawa, which, through normal mail, takes about 2 days. I paid for express shipping.

I’ll wait a few more hours, but if it doesn’t arrive, expect a full-disclosure rant and outing about shoddy service to replace this entry.
