Strange Brew
In my last post, I touched on the idea that Americans may have a skewed view of what Canadians are actually like.
What do they think we do at night? I’m mean, it’s not like we sit around drinking beer and watching Strange Brew…
Actually, I did do that last night, but I swear it was the first time in quite a while.

I stumbled across your blog when I googled “from my cold dead hands” and I’m hooked! When I found your most current entries I was stunned to see that we’re blogging in strange, parallels: Sensitive Americans, shitty beer, Bowling for Columbine, handguns…
We’re almost diametrically opposed in some ways - I’m American blogging in a UK-based blog community, I’m a sport shooter, I drink shitty American beer - but I appreciate your wit and perspective. I’ve added you to my list of favorites and will pop in when I can. Keep up the great work.

I’ve only been to Canada a handful of times, so I can’t say this with any degree of expertise…but I just assumed that you do what I do. Work, sleep, watch television, read books, etc.
I think of Canada as I do the U.S., but with a smarter foreign policy.
BikerBitchRose: Thanks! I’m glad to see people aren’t taking my ‘jabs’ too seriously. By the way, I checked out your site briefly this morning — I love the cowboy bar story! I’ll be reading again when I have more time.
Mac: The US and Canada are both run by the same dark overlord — mainstream media. But that’s a story for a different post. :)
