Until today, I’d never been to a public protest, rally, or other demonstration.

It really is quite a sensation to be standing at the Canadian Parliament among many hundreds (thousands?) of people who have united for a common cause.

Kudos to the Ottawa Police; at least for the portions of the event that I saw. They completely stayed out of the picture and redirected traffic to allow the march. Well done.

Between my political leanings and taste in music, it’s a damn good thing I wasn’t around for Vietnam. I’d be dead in a ditch somewhere with a mind-full of chemicals like some cheese-eating high school boy.
