Ottowa Senators
I’ve been resisting a post on the Senators bankruptcy because, really, it doesn’t affect me. Yes, I’m a hockey fan. No, I don’t want to see another Canadian team leave. Do I think that a team that’s bleeding money should be kept around at all costs? No.
Quite frankly, I find it fascinating that (former) owner Rod Bryden has been accusing the fans, non-fans, Leafs fans, creditors, and anyone else who crosses his path of causing the financing breakdown. Hey Rod, maybe you’re incompetent?
In any event, the team now looks to American investors to bail them out once again.
I took the following screen-shot seconds ago from Yahoo’s NHL page — who couldn’t even spell ‘Ottawa’ correctly. I love the irony of it all.

Geeze that’s disgusting .. damn ‘mericans for ya though. Our nation’s capital and they can’t even spell it correctly. Makes me sick. (Why is email address required .. and how are you “spam protecting” it? .. just curious .. not that it matters any .. all of my addresses are already out there somewhere.)
I didn’t notice it at first, but a friend pointed out that the article further called the team the ‘Sentators’, but its hard to make out in the reduced picture I used.
As for the email, I’m using the ’spam_protect’ attribute for $MTEntryAuthorEmail, which (if I remember correctly) rewrites it using escape characters.
Hmm .. I should double check that I’m using the correct tag. Thanks for the info.
As for that other spelling error .. ok, that’s just a stupid reporter then .. or one that doesn’t know how to use a spell-check program. ;)
