dennis.ca will be getting a new home next week. I bit the bullet and ordered up 3 megabit DSL (300kb downstream and 80kb upstream).

This means I’ll be able to run the site from home. It is currently hosted on a friend’s machine running on 1.2 megabit DSL (96kb down, 12kb up). The main bonus for you will be a noticeable speed increase if your connection is anything better than a 56k modem.

This may also mean a brief period of downtime while the switchover takes place. I’ve got my server pretty much ready to go, but in the event of (inevitable) problems, things may go away for a few days. At the very least there will be an outage of several hours as the domain name is pointed to the new server.

So, yeah. That’s all.
