Who I Am
My name is Dennis (contact me), and I'm 27 28 29 30 31 years old. I spent my formative years in the small town of Belleville (where I drove right through the middle of the Canadian flag in a Ford Pinto; but that's another story), escaped to Peterborough for University, and have since been situated in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Local Seattle artist Victoria was commissioned to create the images you see on this page. The first picture is a candid one; I've just been hit by a flying hockey puck. The second picture captures the resulting state of confusion.
What I Do
I'm a computer nerd. I began my career working in quality assurance and development, and have since moved on to software security and dreaded middle-management. I've worked for a major software graphics company, a Java-specialized development shop, and a start-up telecommunications software provider.
For the past 4+ years I've been with a software security/DRM outfit. Those who are aware of my personal beliefs regarding DRM and copyright must wonder how that fit was made. I still do...
What I Want To Do
Despite the romance of working with computers all day long, I would like to use them in a more creative way. I've recently begun to take photography more seriously, leveraging my background in digital imaging. I've always had a bit of a knack for the visual arts, so it seems like a fitting pasttime even if it doesn't extend much beyond an (expensive) hobby.

Well that's rather odd. My name is also Dennis, I live in Ontario, I'm into cryptography, computers, and the Grateful Dead, I'm thinking about buying an buying an Epiphone, and I currently play a crappy Vantage. What are the odds? I'm a bit older, though. Good site.
