While trying to dredge up a list of dog-friendly public swimming spots in Ottawa, my girlfriend discovered the National Capital Coalition for People and Dogs:
"...a volunteer organization that exists to represent the interests of dog owners and dog walkers in the National Capital Region."

To break up the monotony of non-posting, please enjoy some photographs from Parc Omega.
The park is a 'drive-through wilderness area', if that makes sense. All manner of animals roam about, many of whom have an overwhelming fondness for carrots (which are conveniently sold at the ticket counter).

A new gallery of photographs is online from a recent trip to Gatineau Park's Fall Rhapsody 2004.
I've never seen the park so crowded, and it rather impeded photographing some of the areas I wanted to get to. The cloudy weather didn't help much, either.
