While trying to dredge up a list of dog-friendly public swimming spots in Ottawa, my girlfriend discovered the National Capital Coalition for People and Dogs:
"...a volunteer organization that exists to represent the interests of dog owners and dog walkers in the National Capital Region."
I've never heard of this group, but their website contains a plethora [...]

These are a few shots I took last weekend at the Baxter Conservation Area.
Baxter is the only conservation area I've ever seen that didn't have a single, solitary garbage can. Instead, there's a pile of garbage accumulating beside the main parking lot. Bizarre.

Short of working up a site on Dogster, I'm going to have out subject (all three of) you to an obligatory round of dog photographs.
My last dog -- Maverick (yes, as in Lt. Pete Mitchell, don't bug me about it) -- was a black lab/German Shepard mix and much, much larger.
