When I'm bored, I seem to have a habit of doing things I said I would avoid.

For example, just now I broke down and set up an account at twitter. This despite the fact that I'm still not sure what value it provides and that I'm paranoid about entering any sort of personal information online, let alone my cell number.

Useful or not, I can send updates for free (thanks, work-expensed cell phone!) via GTalk on my Blackberry. That's got me thinking about the wasting-time-during-meetings possibilities, or even better -- being conveniently saved by the bell (or annoying incoming message chime, as it were) during conversations I don't want to escape.

The point is moot for now since I have no 'friends' to barrage me with updates. I'm not sure how much of my minute-to-minute rambling I need to share with them (or care to know about theirs, for that matter).

Regardless, I'm all twitterized for the moment. Note that the weblog even has a nifty new sidebar widget on the main page to display my every action!
