Always a bit slow on the uptake, it took me until tonight to realize that Ottawa has its own craigslist site. I just assumed that such a version didn't exist.

The site, however, is sorely under utilized. That is unless you consider asking how to measure your own height a matter of Science and Math.

Then again, there's hope if you're a student of massage (no really, you must be a student), an aspiring ski nanny, or suffer from herpes.

The strangest thing I came across was a posting from a parent in search of male friends for their daughter:

"She is not obese or overweight, bearded, hairy moled, or pregnant (or has ever been).

This girl is 18. She's pretty, employed, clean and a good cook. She's caring, very enthusiastic and loves animals. Her current guy friends are really not the kind of people we want her involved with."

At once sad and amusing (and probably fake). But hey, at least this U2 posting speaks nothing but the truth.
