I'm one of those people that scowls when someone talks about Survivor, Big Brother, or any other of the stupid reality shows. I can't stand watching them, and I suspect that doing so may actually rot your brain. I cannot explain, therefore, my morbid fascination with 'The Joe Schmo Show'. Furthermore, I'm somewhat ashamed to admit I've been tuning in to "the first network for men".
For those that haven't seen it, the show is completely scripted. All of the 'contestants' are actually actors -- with the exception of Matt -- a regular 'Joe Schmo' pizza driver from Pittsburgh. The story bends and pitches based on his reactions to completely over-the-top interactions and contests ("Hand on the Hooker", for example). The characters are all brutal stereotypes and they're played to the hilt. My compliments to whoever cast Molly, by the way (it is Spike TV, after all).
The story will wrap up this Tuesday when it's revealed that the whole thing was a scam. Although I know it'll be some cheese-laden ending, I'd much rather see Matt loose it and beat the hell out of people...
